EP 569: Building a Tool Kit Company with Rock Crandell

October 27, 2022 by Cody Rich

Rocky has been on the podcast before and among being very articulate I truly enjoy bouncing concepts off of him. Over the years we have kicked around many business ideas and Rocky has been a huge part of the success that The Lab has had in the last few months.

After deciding it was time to leave academia Rocky went head first into designing a product that solve a problem he recognized. After almost a year of designing and prototyping he is getting close to being ready for launch. In this episode we talk about how to go from zero to one a concept of making something from nothing. The hardest part of that is deciding when to make the leap.

We talk about many of the struggles thus far and hurdles that come along with building something from zero to one. Steadfast Systems

Todays podcast is brought to you by MEAT. The best meat processing equipment out there. Some guys dream of a fancy garage with cars and tools. personally I would rather have a bull butcher setup with walk-in cooler, stainless everything and a full kit of MEAT equipment.
If your like me and you love processing your own game, making summer sausage, and experimenting with new braut recipes than you need to check out MEAT equipment. They have everything you need to take your processing to the next level. As someone who has used crappy vacum sealers and meat grinders for more years than I like to admit, upgrading to a MEAT equipment might be the single greatest purchase I have made. Check them out at www.MeatYourMaker.com and use the code TRO for 15% off.
Real quick interruption, fall is here and and that means it’s time to get familiar with all the new features on your On X maps. When it comes to mobile GPS On X is still the best in the game hands down. On X has a ton of new features that are going to make you a more successful hunter if you know how to use them, so take the time before season, get your off line maps saved and play around with the tools available at your finger tips. Plan your routes, map your glassing zones, keep your plans in folders because the more organized you are the more successful your hunt is going to be. If you are not an elite member yet be sure to check out all the new perks for being an Elite member.
The greatest advice I ever got was to never think twice about spending money on books and course as their ROI is so high you can’t afford to not. Right now I have a free trial I encourage you to use it. take all the knowledge you possibly can, and if you don’t see how this community will change your life forever than well I hate to say it but you aren’t the kind of person we want in the community and I will gladly pay you to leave. We’re building something massive here and we need people who add to it not just take. Join the Lab
