Over the years I have been lucky enough to meet some of the best hunters from around the world. I have also been lucky enough to get the opportunity to bounce ideas and tactics off these guys and it has helped me significantly. Today is one of the times. Cam and I met through Adam Foss his brother a few years back at Sheep Show. Over the last couple of years, I have picked Cam’s brain on sheep hunting as I have virtually zero experience in the matter and cam is a very seasoned sheep hunter. This podcast is basically a normal conversation with me asking cam 1,000 questions like I am a 5-year-old wrapping my head around a completely foreign subject.
Cam is not only a great sheep hunter but has mountain hunting experience all around the world. One of my biggest takeaways from this podcast was the same thing I beat into young elk hunters. Sometimes you just have to go for it. Mountian hunting is oftentimes so much about being patient and making the right calls, but you also have to know when to push your luck because success in the mountains will never just walk up and let you take it.
