Blacktail hunting definitely holds a very special place in my love of all things hunting. I have been sneaking up of blacktails since long before I could even carry a rifle in the woods. In today’s podcast, I am joined by Nathan Endicott who is no stranger to Oregon hunting or killing big blacktails with a bow. Nathan’s Family owns one of the most well-known archery shops in Oregon and has been around archery hunting his whole life. I hadn’t planned on doing anything special for the 400th episode but in a weird way, I am glad it ended up being a blacktail podcast, and a great one at that.
In this episode Nathan shares some awesome blacktail experiences that take me right back to being in those thick jungles looking for an invisible deer. Nathan has generations of hunting experiences passed down and plenty of drive to make it happen. We talk about the challenges and joys of still hunting through thick timber. Nathan has some great advice for sliding through the timber undetected.
If you have ever had the Blacktail itch I highly recommend giving this episode a listen!
