What a great conversation with a couple of legends when it comes to Backcountry Mule Deer Hunting. This week I get the chance to sit down with Brian Barney and Ryan Lampers in the new podcast studio. Ryan just got back from his Nevada grinder of a hunt and Brian is getting ready to take off on a doubleheader Colorado/Wyoming trip.
The only thing better than getting to sit down with someone with this much knowledge and experience is to get to be a fly on the wall with these two discussing the ups and downs of a hunt. Brian and Ryan discuss some of the challenges of early season hunts and tips they have developed to find the bucks that they do amidst a sea of other hunters. It continually amazes me that both of these guys can turn up bucks so continuously in areas that are not hard to draw tags with lots of competition. I did my best to dig out the tips and secrets, but the best part of this conversation is hearing these two co back and forth.
