EP 443: MM Three-Peat Bucks with Kyle Williams

April 13, 2020 by Jaden Bales

On this podcast, Kyle Williams and Jaden sit down to talk Kyle’s 3 great bucks he took with 3 different weapons in one season. He was followed up in 2019 by his buddy Ace’s similar three-peat, and they dive into the stories behind both years. Kyle is an excellent storyteller, and though he admits hasn’t been killing big deer for too awful long, he really has a great grasp on what it takes to be successful. He is especially complimentary to the mentors he’s found in hunting who have shared keys to being consistent, which he clearly follows to a “T”. This Muley Monday is a phenomenal podcast full of great storytelling and tactics to improve your deer hunting.

March 30, 2020 by Jaden Bales

On this episode of muley Monday, Jaden sits down with the gear guru herself, Jordan Budd. Jordan not only gets after it in the mountains both hunting and filming but as the host of the Rokcast, she has a ton of conversations strictly about gear and gear function. On top of that, she went on an epic muley hunt with the big buck legend, Robby Denning. Her experiences watching and learning from him brought out tips and tactics for killing big deer never before pulled from Robby himself. We talk glassing, choosing areas to look for deer, as well as specific optics. Robby’s optic of choice for their hunt may just surprise you.

If you want to check out the hunt with Robby, be sure to watch Hunting Big Mule Deer on Youtube. For more gear, go give Jordan’s podcast, the Rokcast a listen.

EP 427: Mule Deer Biology Series – Nevada

February 17, 2020 by Jaden Bales

Welcome to another episode of our Mule Deer Biology Series. Today, Jaden sits down with Cody Schroeder, the Mule Deer Staff Biologist for the Nevada Department of Wildlife. Nevada’s mule deer management is a really interesting contrast to states like Montana and Idaho since every hunt is a limited-quota draw hunt. As a result, Cody Schroeder covers the suite of topics in the state of Nevada and mule deer management there. The guys also basically touch on what’s happening with mule deer in every corner of the state, from wild horses and predators in the northwest corner, to fires outside of Elko, to drought in desert units just north of Las Vegas, and everything in between. Enjoy this super informative episode!

If you haven’t yet, be sure to go back and listen to all the different mule deer biology series to give you a good perspective on just how different states manage mule deer populations.
