Alright guys, welcome to Wapiti Wednesday. The first week of September is in the books, and I hope that many of you guys have found success. As for the rest of you that haven’t been so lucky, I hope this podcast gives you a little motivation to get out there and keep grinding away. My guest today is the infamous Dan Staton, more popularly known as Dan the Fitness Man. Dan is a die hard elk hunter, who blames most of his success on being as fit as he can be, or as he likes to call it- Elk Shape. He runs the Elk Shape website, which gives you great real world work outs, articles, and equipment. On today’s episode, we start off by talking about the totally bad ass walk in cooler than Dan made in his cabin in Idaho, and just how he did it. We dig into a lot of the reasons why Dan has been so successful over the years, and his tactics for getting it done year after year. Dan’s hunting style is absolutely rigorous, with little to no sleep or breaks, and he’s constantly pushing the limits of what he can do. If you want to check out more of Dan’s hunting style, be sure to check out his youtube page: Elk Shape. Hope this episode brings some good luck to you guys as we finish the season.
