So this past week, I was down in California doing some pig hunting, and I was hunting with Toni Lombardi of Rolling Oak Outfitters. We had a blast chasing hogs with a pistol in some of the prettiest country I have ever seen in California. We were able to connect on a pig and I will be sure to post pictures on the the website and The Rich Outdoors Facebook page. After the hunt, we decided to record a podcast on pig hunting, which we didn’t really have the perfect gear for, so my apologies for the rough audio and my fat kid breathing. That being said, it is a great podcast for anyone interested in doing a pig hunt. I promise to take all the right gear anytime I go on a hunt from now on, because you never know when the need to record a podcast will appear. Needless to say, Tony has a ton of knowledge about pigs and pig hunting and if your interested in a true California hog hunt, hit Tony up on Facebook or Instagram.
We cover many of the population problems Tony deals with in his day job as a trapper for many of the vineyards in wine country, and dealing with wine country that is ever expanding into pig habitat. We also chat about pig behavior, pig patterns, how to find dominant boars, which pigs eat best, and much more. Hope you guys enjoy the show!
