What’s all this whitetail hunting hype about? Brandon Hammonds (@bhams21) of Take Aim Outdoors podcast and I chat about being a traveling hunter, new experiences, and heading to the midwest for the true whitetail hunting experience. Take Aim Outdoors is a great source if your looking for more information on whitetail hunting.
This week on The Rich Outdoors, we are chatting with the MTN OPS brothers Casey and Jordan Harbertson on the hunting experience, how Jordan’s big elk hunt went, and what the lessons learned were. Eric Chesser of Hushin’ also drops in to tell about his New Mexico hunt and we talk about the highs and lows of hunting and how the two hunts were so different. Great episode and we had a blast doing it. Great episode that really shows both ends of the spectrum when it comes to the hunting experience.
Like many of you, I woke up Monday morning to the tragic news of the loss of both a friend and an icon. Roy Roth has been a role model and an inspiration to me for years, and back in March, I got the chance to sit down and chat with him on the podcast, which only fueled my respect for the man as both a hunter and as a person. I wanted to highlight some of the stories and advice that Roy shared with us on his earlier episode, so I put together a tribute in his memory, showcasing some of my favorite tales he told me. My heart goes out to the Roth family, knowing that the loss of a loved one is never easy.
Roy was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back during a blizzard, and I would love to see the hunting community reach out and do the same for his family in their time of need. This GoFundMe campaign was created in the hopes that the hunting community will join me in showing our support for the Roth family. I also hope that you will share some of your greatest Roy Roth memories and stories as well.
Roy’s memory will never be forgotten and his family will remain in our hearts.
Today on The Rich Outdoors hunting podcast, I am chatting with my good buddy Zac Griffith and we talk about hunting fitness and the optimal diet both on and off the mountain, as well as some of the lessons learned and mistakes made so far this year.
